We found Eulalia when we sailed back from Menorca to Mallorca. She was captived in
a big fishing net, floating on the surface. We rescued she and took her on board for
supplying her deep wounds. Eulalia was realy exhaust from her survive fight.
While her injuries cured, we feed her with crabs, jelly-fishes and little shells.
Nearby, normaly it is very difficult to care a wild water turtle, because they don't
eat in prison. But we managed it with a lot of patience and right behavior.
Our purpose was to care her, protect her and finally to give her back the freedom,
swimming again in the wide ocean to establish a new generation.
Some months later, it was a bright sunny day, she we were pleased to attained our purpose
and we looked after her, when she disappeared in the waves.
Eulalia is a Caretta caretta species and belongs to a nearly extincted species.
This special turtle is listet at the Red (Cites) List of the Species Protection list
in Washington.
